Mr. Toth attended Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
Jake earned his law degree from Penn State Dickinson Law, where he graduated cum laude. While at Penn State Dickinson Law, Mr. Toth served as Managing Editor of Volume 129 of Dickinson Law Review, one of the nation’s oldest law reviews. His Comment was published in Issue 3 of Volume 129. Jake was also an active member of the Dickinson Law Moot Court Board, served as OutLaw class representative in his second and third years, and participated in student-faculty partnerships to foster equitable access to legal education.
Mr. Toth served as a Summer IOLTA Fellow for Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Aid (now Summit Legal Aid) and Community Justice Project, and as a judicial extern for The Honorable Matthew P. Smith of the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas. Additionally, Mr. Toth volunteered in the Pennsylvania Pardon Project, the Cumberland County License Restoration Clinic, and Penn State Dickinson Law’s Name Change Assistance Clinic.
Jake started with Strokoff & Cowden as a law clerk in his third year of law school and joined full-time after graduating. Since joining Strokoff & Cowden, Mr. Toth has represented clients in professional licensure, workplace discrimination, unemployment compensation, labor dispute, and Pennsylvania State Civil Service Act matters. He provides counsel in a diverse array of employment-related actions, including restrictive covenant enforcement, whistleblower litigation, and administrative appellate advocacy.
Mr. Toth is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Dauphin County Bar Association, and the James S. Bowman American Inn of Court.
